Hi Families,

I hope that you have been checking this blog frequently.  I have added some good videos for you.  Our exception children sometimes have trouble in social situations, so I added some video of what Social Thinking is.  I hope to work on some of these concepts in our class and integrate them into our daily learning.  It will be truly beneficial to our kids.

I also added a slide show.  It shows off some of the hard work of our students.  Encourage them, support them, and be their guide.  That is what I strive for everyday!

Don't forget that Arts Night is coming up.  This is a very special night for all students at our school.  Think about bringing your children, they are so excited about showcasing their work for your!! Check the calendar for the date.

Hi Parents,

As you already know, we had biography book talks the other day.  They went very well.  The children were very excited to share their biographies.  I am so very proud of each and every one of them.  It is hard to speak in front of people, but they all got up there and did their very best!!

So happy that some of you were able to make it.  If any of you took any pictures, feel free to add them.

Thank you again for sharing your children with me.  They are truly exceptional.

Welcome to Mrs. Navarro Exceptional Learners.  I will be your child's special education teacher for this school year.  I cannot wait to get to know each and every one of your children.  They are truly special and exceptional indeed.  We will work together to find strengths and build on them.  I want to bring out the very best in your children.  Therefore, we will be a team.  I want your input.  I want to know how your children are doing at home.  Is the day here at school too much?  Are they acting out?  I will let you know the same.

This blog will be a place where I can let you know what is going on in your child's classroom.  I can only imagine that when your child gets home, they are not that forth coming with information.  I will let you know what we did.  What worked, what didn't.  This will be information central.

I will also be posting helpful information for your child and for yourself as parents.  I will try to add any resources that I feel may aid your child's learning.

Please check back often.  Post any questions, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

This will be a fun and exceptional year.  It will be full of growth.  I look forward to being your child's teacher and I thank you very much for sharing them with me.
